Commute

Commuters are the people who travel almost daily to their workplace, do the same job and come back from the same route to their home. Lets read this to know more about their boring schedule.

“No! No! Stop! Bus!” I screamed.

“Beep beep” Alarm beeps.

“Oh! It was just a dream.” I said waking up, rubbing my eyes

Going to the wash basin, standing behind the same mirror, watching myself for five minutes I think “again!”. The same toothbrush and the same paste of same color. Nothing new in breakfast, the shower also is giving the same water! Wardrobe has all old cloths and there are the same three shoe options. Yeah, the purse is new.

Walking till the bus stop, I have hundred regrets. Waiting for the bus at bus stop, plugging in the earphones and playing the same old playlist again “Uff!”

Then comes that overloaded bus, the struggles to enter that bus. Seats? Their is not even a space to stand. The same old faces of the daily passengers commute like me. Standing there for fifty odd minutes and I reach to my destination, Yes, its the same destination. Again the workload, the deadlines, the same coffee machine and taste is also static. The lunch, all days have the same options. 

Finishing the work early also gives a five minutes of joy. Talking with friends also have no difference. They also talks about the same topics, that's The Boss, The Haunted Places, Old Experiences and I am here thinking "Today's food has less salt".

Packing up the bag, walking on the same bus stop, this time, the bus actually have less passengers and I sometimes get a seat while getting back to home. Watching outside the window, I can see local buses, they remind me Mumbai locals. Passengers are hanging on the door, the bus is fully overloaded. These are some kinds of motivation or inspiration that atleast I am sitting in a A/c bus.

Dynamism in commuter's life like me, yeah I guess in my life, its would be when the bus stops on traffic signal on Five cross roads, their is a shop where that shopkeeper writes any interesting or sarcastic things on the board at the empty space above his shop and changes it every week. For examples…. Football Dekhlo Fraands…Care For Kerela…etc. So that's it. A life of a commuter.

This is a cassette that a commuter rewinds everyday. Wait. A. Minute. Do you think that its little same as your life too? Same vehicle, same route, same work, no dynamism? If no, that's good. But if yes, then simply, try to have some more different things in your life…
